10/19/2018 – 2nd Annual SheLeadsTech Conference

For the second time, the SheLeadsTech Conference will feature key women players, leaders, and achievers in information technology and security fields, who will come and share their experiences on how to navigate the rough and rugged road that leads to the top.

The SheLeadsTech program is an ISACA International initiative that seeks to address the significant under-representation of women in business technology leadership roles and the tech workforce. #SheLeadsTech aims to engage women in technology and our allies to support and advocate for change, empower women as leaders, role models and mentors in their fields, and to elevate the role of women in technology.

ISACA’s program was established by its Women in Leadership Council, chaired by Jo Stewart-Rattray, director of information security and IT assurance for BRM Holdich, and comprised of female tech executives from around the world:

Goals:

  • Increase the number of women entering the cyber security, audit, governance and control fields by 10% by 2025.
  • Reduce the number of women leaving the tech workforce by 5% by 2020.
  • Increase the number of women in C-suite roles by 20% by 2025

ISACA South Florida – Dinner & Learn Networking Event – August 30th, 2018

Topic: Implementing Data Protection Program Changes in Compliance with the New GDPR regulation, an E.U. regulator’s prospective.

This event will feature technical presentations and panelists discussion about the requirements and challenges in meeting the new GDPR regulation. Insights from their recent trip to Brussels to speak with E.U. regulators about the new General Data Protection Regulation, and initiatives that the regulatory body is currently working on.

Some of our panelist are members of St. Thomas University’s Executive Doctorate of Information Security, where the program is focused on addressing complex security problems in organizations through understanding and application of latest research in information security.

Governance, Risk and Compliance in Information Technology (GRCIT) Conference

GRCIT Conference is the premier ISACA conference for South Florida IT executives in the private and public sector. It is aimed at fostering better governance practices for IT Investments, risks and compliance in our public and private entities. The conference will provide opportunities for IT leaders (CIOs, CISOs, CSOs, CTOs, and IT Directors )  and other industry practitioners to share their experiences on what works and what does not. Above all, the conference will provide opportunity for participants to learn some emerging best practices and strategies for being at the edge of the curve in tackling issues related to risks, disruptions, security and compliance in disruptive technologies such as cloud computing, IoT, and Blockchain. The GRCIT conference will feature notable IT executives from government, industry and the academia.
